OUR PASTOR
Our pastor Dan Guider was saved at the age of 15 at Bible Baptist Church in Lenoir City, Tennessee. He was called to preach that same year and to the mission field at the age of 16. He entered Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, SC and graduated in 1975.
He and his wife Martha were accepted by the mission board BIMI and arrived in Trinidad, West Indies June 3, 1976. They spent a total of 13 years in Trinidad and St. Thomas, USVI. In St. Thomas Bro. Dan taught at Bluewater Bible College for 7 years.
In 1987 he was offered the position of Director of Baptist International Bible Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. After two years of prayer and seeking God's will, Dan and his family returned to the States. Bro. Dan still directs and teaches at BIBI. He has pastored two other churches in Fulton County before coming to Iron Hill.
Bro. Dan and Martha have five children and seven grandchildren. Besides earning a THG at Tabernacle, he also earned a BS. from Liberty University, a THM from Bethel Seminary and a D.Min. from Bethany Seminary. He loves to fish, hunt, gardening and sports. He is an avid Braves fan and being from Tennessee, loves the Tennessee Vols.
OUR CHURCH
Iron Hill Baptist Church is an independent conservative Baptist church founded in 1900. We have been ministering to the Acworth community for over 100 years.
Although we are an old church, we are a growing church reaching our community through a bus ministry and visitation program. We are a warm friendly family church with programs for every age.
We extend to you a most cordial invitation to worship wish us as often as possible. If you do not have a church home, we trust that you will prayerfully consider Iron Hill Baptist Church.
Our one purpose is to effectively carry out our Lord's commission to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you;..." (Matthew 28:19-20) It is our desire to carry our this commission in the spirit and attitude of the first commandment, Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord the God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets" (Matthew 22:37-40)
